The PPM Technologies Rotary Snack Fryer provides gentle handling and uniform frying for a wide variety of extruded and pellet snack products, from rings and twists to three-dimensional starch-based products. The Rotary Snack Fryer allows operators to choose from either an electric or a gas heating system, and comes available in three sizes that provide outputs from 100 to 500 kg/hr.
With a state-of-the-art rotary wheel design and adjustable frying time of 10 to 60 seconds, the Rotary Snack Fryer offers industry-leading performance and efficiency in a compact, easy-to-install system. An infeed conveyor is used to supply the fryer’s rotary wheel with even amounts of product.
Once the product is compartmentalized in flights, the wheel rotates through a bed of oil, ensuring each piece receives equal frying time and oil exposure – this simple yet effective design guarantees gentle handling and uniform frying, with maximum oil turnover for longer product shelf-life. PPM’s Rotary Snack Fryer maintains proper oil management with automatic oil-level detection and optional external filtration systems that help reduce oil loss and eliminate wastage. Additional system features include an auto-lift hood, feedback sensors for precise temperature control, CIP systems and more.


Compact Design for Easy Install
The Rotary Snack Fryer’s compact design provides a simple installation process and allows the unit to be easily integrated into new or existing lines. Typical snack frying lines include an incline belt, in-feed conveyor, fryer, de-oiling belts and complete system controls. For products that require seasoning and coating, post processing – PPM offers a comprehensive range of dry powder, liquid, and slurry application equipment.
